About the competition - Graphic Design
This competition gives competitors an opportunity to demonstrate both their creative and
technical skills in the form of a passive brief and a live competition environment. Competitors
will be expected to work to a design brief and plan and submit work to a deadline, as would be
expected of a professional graphic designer.
Competitors will be expected to show proficiency in industry standard design
applications:
- Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator or InDesign
- Adobe Acrobat Professional
Entry Levels: Advanced and Higher
Entry Deadline: 19 March 2010
Entry Type: Individual competitors
Competition Type: Mixed
Competition structure
Stage one: enter online by 19 March 2010.
Stage two: submit initial design work by 30 April 2010.
Stage three: highest scoring competitors that meet the required standard will be invited to
compete at the UK final.
How many can enter?
Three competitors per organisation.
Technical knowledge
- Computer usage/software knowledge
- Knowledge of the printing process
- Printouts and file saving format

Who can enter?
This competition is at an advanced level. Competitors must be over 16 years of age and be studying towards a nationally recognised level 3–5 qualification, or have up to five years experience working within the graphics industry.
