About the competition - Performing Arts: Acting - Closed

The Performing Arts: Acting competition will provide you with an invaluable opportunity to test your skills nationally against other students at your level. Competitors are required to
prepare a three minute monologue from an existing published text to be performed live in front of an audience and judges.

Your performance is expected to be at a level the theatre industry would find acceptable enough to audition you for a professional casting.

Entry Levels: Advanced

Entry Deadline: 27 April 2010

Entry Type: Individual competitors

Competition Type: Live

Competition structure

Stage one: enter online by 19 March 2010.

Stage two: competitors will be invited to participate in a live heat.

Stage three: highest scoring competitors across all heats that meet the required standard will be invited to compete at the UK final.

How many can enter?

Two competitors per organisation.

Who can enter?

The competition is intended for those working towards relevant programmes of study in performing arts or acting.

Advanced: Those undertaking qualifications up to level 3 (for England, Northern Ireland and Wales), up to level 6 (for Scotland) or up to two years experience in a working environment.
