About the competition - Performing Arts: Musical Theatre

 

The Performing Arts: Musical Theatre competition, will provide you with an invaluable opportunity to showcase your skills and share your work with others to promote excellence at this level. Competitors are required to perform a published musical theatre song. They can be from any historical period as well as contemporary pieces. They may be accompanied by a live musician or licensed backing track.

Entry Levels: Advanced

Entry Deadline: 19 March 2010

Entry Type: Individual competitors

Competition Type: Live

Competition structure

Stage one: enter online by 19 March 2010.

Stage two: competitors will be invited to participate in a live heat.

Stage three: highest scoring competitors across all heats that meet the required standard will be invited to compete at the UK final.

How many can enter?

Two competitors per organisation.

Who can enter?

The competition is intended for those working towards relevant programmes of study in performing arts or musical theatre.

Advanced: Those undertaking qualifications up to level 3 (for England, Northern Ireland and Wales), up to level 6 (for Scotland) or up to two years experience in a working environment.
