About the competition - Nail Technology: Nail Art - Closed

Competitors will be able to display a highly creative finished product and show knowledge of current fashion trends and artistic nail design. For the intermediate competition the judges will be looking at the artistic ability rather than the commercial skills. A working log will be produced by all competitors.

For the advanced competition competitors will be expected to use embellishments, 3D and/or cut-out designs.

Entry Levels: Intermediate and Advanced

Competition Type: Live

Competition structure

Stage one: enter online by 19 March 2010.

Stage two: competitors will be invited to compete in a heat.

Stage three: highest scoring competitors across all heats who meet the required standard will be invited to compete at the UK final.

How many can enter?

One competitor per level per campus.

Who can enter?

The competition is intended for those training or working as a nail technician. Competitors can be in education and training or working in industry.

Intermediate: Those undertaking qualifications up to level 2 (for England, Northern Ireland and Wales), up to level 5 (for Scotland) or up to two years experience in a working environment.

Advanced: Those undertaking qualifications up to level 3 (for England, Northern Ireland and Wales), up to level 6 (for Scotland) or up to four years experience in a working environment.
