About the competition - Media Make-up

 

Competitors will be expected to demonstrate their skills as make-up artists within dynamic media environments. The competition tests creativity, technician skills, consultative and communication skills.

The competition requires competitors to display one or more highly creative finished products that demonstrate knowledge of current fashion trends, make-up and costume design. Competitors will be required to:

- Interpret a theme
- Demonstrate product awareness
- Apply body art and paint
- Design and apply a costume

Entry Levels: Advanced

Entry Deadline: 19 March 2010

Entry Type: Individual competitors

Competition Type: Live

Competition structure

Stage one: enter online by 19 March 2010.

Stage two: competitors will be invited to compete in a heat.

Stage three: highest scoring competitors across all heats who meet the required standard will be invited to compete at the UK final.

How many can enter?

One competitor per campus.

Who can enter?

The competition is intended for those training or working as a make-up artist. Competitors can be in education and training or working in industry.

Advanced: Those undertaking qualifications up to level 3 (for England, Northern Ireland and Wales), up to level 6 (for Scotland) or up to four years experience in a working environment.
