Following the postponement of WorldSkills Shanghai due to the Covid-19 pandemic, WorldSkills International have confirmed that the 46th WorldSkills Competition will now take place on 12–17 October 2022.
To ensure that the decision to change the date will not impact participants, the WorldSkills General Assembly have approved a onetime change in the age eligibility criteria for the Competition. If a Competitor was age eligible for the WorldSkills Competition 2021, then they will also be eligible for 2022.
The dates for the WorldSkills Conference have also been confirmed as 13–14 October 2022. The Conference runs parallel to the Competition, bringing together leaders in education, government, business, and industry from around the globe.
