This module gives you the opportunity to ‘stretch’ your skills to Level three by completing a work order to identify the cause of a defective engine malfunction indicator light (MIL) on a 2006 Audi A8. You will also have the opportunity to use the Electude simulator to complete a work order for a showroom car that won’t start.
The module takes around 90 minutes to complete. You will be continually tested as you work your way through, with a series of quizzes and other activities. Once you have completed all sections successfully, you will be awarded a downloadable WorldSkills UK certificate.
In this module, you will learn to:
identify symptoms and causes of faults found in transmission and driveline systems
explain the systematic diagnostic techniques used in identifying faults
recognise faults associated with mechanical engine operation
evaluate and interpret test results from diagnostic testing.
We believe you should have a record and be recognised for the skills you have developed from your experiences with WorldSkills UK. It’s why we issue digital credentials powered by Credly. Each credential is a verified skills record stored on a Credly profile page ready to share across your professional networks.
