A live discussion that will discuss the potential perceptions young people face personally and professionally, which can affect communication, behaviour and performance. Educators and trainers will hear directly from existing and previous learners and gain insight into the perceptions they experienced and how they can support others to overcome them

Learning outcomes will include:

– gain a deeper understanding of the power of judgement and the positive and negative effect it has on individuals
– understand the effect perceptions have on communication and performance
– discover resources and tools to use individually and with others to confront perceptions.

A live discussion designed to share best practice, tools and resources to support educators with understanding barriers the learners may be facing, and how they can support them effectively to raise their performance.

Learning outcomes will include:

– understand the potential barriers learners face which affect their performance and overall success
– confidently support learners through identified barriers
– identify learning barriers in a virtual and hybrid learning environment
– understand wider influencers outside the learning environment
– explore practical methods to adapting style, empowering confident conversations, skills development and behaviours to drive performance.

– employers will discuss how they make their employees’ environment inclusive
– employer and apprenticeship providers will discuss how they engage learners
– insights into what Further Education can do to create more inclusive environments.

It’s as important to train for your mental challenges as it is your physical challenges. This live discussion will provide educators with an understanding of mental fitness and the importance of developing this within their learners. Educators will hear how they can support the wellbeing of their learners through embedding mental fitness within their curriculum and what tools to use.
