Building world-class skills systems in all four nations and equipping young people with the latest skills and knowledge will ensure they can thrive as part of a highly skilled economy and make a meaningful and immediate impact in the workplace.
“The Council of Skills Advisers’ recommendation that technical education providers have a role to play in spurring innovation and attracting inward investment to local areas chimes with the findings of the independent Skills Taskforce for Global Britain’s report, which called for skills to be at the heart of the Government’s investment strategy.
“As Team UK showcases its skills across the world this autumn, we will be gathering insights on cutting edge skills, such as industrial electronics and cyber security, to help young women and men get the world-class skills they need to succeed and show the world that the UK is the place to invest.”
