During The Skills Show this year, WorldSkills UK Competitions judges volunteered over 275 days of their time, setting up, scrutinising and marking the work of the National Finalists. And that doesn’t even take into account the days and weeks that judges dedicated to the national qualifiers!
In order to recognise the extraordinary contribution made by the individuals involved in the design and delivery of our competitions, WorldSkills UK have given our Competition Organising Partners the opportunity to recognise one individual per competition as our Judge of the Year in that skill – where they feel that that the individual has gone above and beyond their role to deliver excellence as a WorldSkills UK Judge.
WorldSkills UK are delighted to announce the following individuals as Judges of the Year:
Peter Gibbons – Automotive Body Repair
Simon Evans – Automotive Refinishing
Willie McIlwraith – Automotive Technology
Lynda Owen – Floristry
Clare Everest – Fitness Trainer
Laura Cregg – Forensic Science
Pat Pearson – Health and Social Care
Gulam Bakawala – Heavy Vehicle Engineering
Tracey Richardson – Plumbing
Adam Woodcock – Video Moving Image
Congratulations to these individuals for their outstanding achievements and contributions this year!
In addition to this, WorldSkills UK would like to thank all of our judges for their continuing support for our competitions; without your dedication and hard work, our competitions could not continue to thrive and grow, providing opportunity for competitors to shine in their chosen field.
