Shayne Hadland (Team UK, WorldSkills São Paulo) has been an awarded an MBE.
A serving Senior Aircraftman with the RAF, Shayne was one of 114 service personal to have been granted state honours by Her Majesty The Queen in the annual Honours List.
Shayne was awarded a Silver Medal in Aircraft Maintenance Competition at WorldSkills Sâo Paulo 2015, helping to deliver the UK’s best ever result at the international Competition. Shayne now volunteers as a Skills Champion visiting schools, speaking at career events and supporting entrants who are participating in skills competitions. The Champions play an important role in helping young people understand the opportunities that an apprenticeship and training can offer.
