Our response to the announcement that Herning in Denmark has been chosen to host EuroSkills in 2024.
Dr Neil Bentley-Gockmann OBE, Chief Executive, WorldSkills UK said:
“Congratulations to Denmark on being awarded EuroSkills 2024. We look forward to working with our Danish and other European partners to create an amazing showcase for skills excellence.
“And in doing so we will seek to harness further insights from our involvement in both EuroSkills and WorldSkills competitions to help turn international best practice in training and assessment into everyday practice, supporting the development of more educators to upskill more young people to reach the higher skills standards UK employers need.
“As we look towards EuroSkills Graz, WorldSkills Shanghai 2021, EuroSkills St Petersburg 2022, WorldSkills Lyon 2023 and now EuroSkills Herning 2024, we will be working with more partners for the long-term to help mainstream excellence in further education to inspire and develop even more young people, from all walks of life, to take up rewarding technical career routes and apprenticeships.”
