Organisational Awards

These awards will welcome submissions from organisations of 250+ employees, and up to 250 employees, and will be judged in separate categories.

Programme or Campaign of the Year – Sponsored by Toyota Manufacturing UK

Nominees for this category will be organisations in technical education or apprenticeships (FE and Higher Education organisations, employers or training providers) who have shaped and launched an innovative programme or campaign, including social media, designed to promote diversity and inclusion within their respective organisation and/or the wider technical education sector.

Network of the Year – Available for Sponsorship* 

Nominees for this category will be organisations in technical education or apprenticeships (FE and Higher Education organisations, employers or training providers) who are engaging and supporting one or more minority groups through innovative network activities (e.g. student, apprentices and/or employee networks etc) and demonstrating sustained value to its wider organisation.

Inclusive Employer of the Year – Available for Sponsorship*

Nominees for this category will be organisations in technical education or apprenticeships (FE and Higher Education organisations, employers or training providers) promoting and harnessing a diverse workforce, and demonstrating their commitment to diversity and inclusion across their business. This award will celebrate organisations commitment to inclusive practices across all areas of diversity, including age, disability, gender, sexual orientation, race and religion, as well as promoting inclusive practices across partners, stakeholders and ‘customers’. 

Individual Awards

Role Model Award – Available for Sponsorship*

Nominees for this category will be individuals working in technical education or apprenticeships who have worked to champion, inspire, engage and empower underrepresented communities within their organisation and beyond.

Rising Star – Available for Sponsorship*

Nominees for this category will be young people in technical education or apprenticeships who are going above and beyond to drive the diversity and inclusion agenda.

Nominees should be students, apprentices or former apprentices (within the first three years of achieving their apprenticeship).  

Competitions Diversity Champion Award – Sponsored by Coca-Cola European Partners

Nominees for this category will be individuals driving awareness of, and engagement with WorldSkills UK Competitions in their organisation and beyond, inspiring and empowering underrepresented communities to engage in the opportunities the Skills Competitions bring.
