Does the college need to identify the teaching staff as part of the application process?  Or is that after the shortlisting process?

No, you will not need to do this during the application stage however we would like to have the 5 named teaching staff from September so we can start to build our engagement framework and scheduling of meetings to plan the programme with you from then until December in preparation to deliver the programme from January 2021.

If part of a group structure, can it involve staff across the different colleges within the group?

We are limited to 20 colleges in the first year of the pilot programme.  To discuss your colleges specific arrangements, please get in touch with us at centreofexcellence@worldskillsuk.org 

Is the project limited to FE Colleges or can Private Training Providers apply as well?

In the year one of the programme we are looking to focus on FE colleges however, in year two of the programme we will be looking to see if we could expand this to Private Training Providers.

Will the programme only be for colleges offering NCFE courses?

No, this programme is open to colleges across the country.

Will there be a reporting process on the progress of the programme as part of the MOU?

As this is a collaboration partnership between NCFE, WorldSkills UK and the College, there will be a reporting process as part of the MOU, however we will agree what that reporting process looks like after the recruitment phase.

Will the High-Performance Skills Coaches be from Employers?

The five Skills Coaches are drawn from our team of WorldSkills UK Training Managers, these individuals come from Industry, colleges and Training Providers and bring a wealth of experience and knowledge in achieving global standards of excellence.
