Risk assessment for group visitors

WorldSkills UK LIVE and the NEC provide risk assessments.

The NEC also has a pre-prepared risk assessment for group visitors to use.

Safety and security

The safety of all participants at WorldSkills LIVE is of paramount importance to us all.  In order to keep high standards and to ensure everyone enjoys the event we ask that teachers/educators help us by taking three simple and important steps:

  • Advise students that they will need to pass through a search point.  Refusal to be searched or to be found with weapons, non-prescribed drugs and alcohol will be result in refusal of entry and will dealt with by the police.
  •  Ensure students carry identification and a contact number for your school, college or academy and give security supervisors a contact number for your group leader.
  •  Emphasise that all visitors to the NEC must follow any instructions given by security staff or police.  Anyone who doesn’t will be asked to leave.

Thank you for your help, and we hope that your group has a great time at WorldSkills UK LIVE!
