The white-hot competitive climax of months of our annual skills competitions have taken place at 21 different venues right across the UK.
The crème de la crème from all four home nations have risen from the top from amongst thousands of skilled young people who entered the skills competition cycle earlier in the year.
These young people are showing the way; they are a true inspiration for their generation. I praise all those that have battled through the most arduous elements of the last couple of years and are still striving to reach new heights in their skills and development.
The winners of the National Finals achieving Gold, Silver and Bronze Medals will be announced by skills champion and top TV presenter Steph McGovern from her Channel 4 Packed Lunch studio in a special live event being streamed online at 4pm today. This celebration is a great end to this year’s competitions for competitors, their peers, parents and educators to join together to honour the skills, hard work and commitment that have been shown throughout.
Steph McGovern, TV presenter says, “This is just so important, we need hundreds of thousands to follow in these young people’s footsteps. I can’t wait to reveal the results, but the real winner is the UK.”
