Colleges Week 2025, organised by the Association of Colleges (AoC), took place from Monday 3 to Friday 7 March. This year, the focus was on celebrating the vital role that colleges play in shaping brighter futures for learners, giving them the skills and confidence to succeed in the workplace.
WorldSkills UK was proud to support colleges throughout the week by providing benchmarking resources to upskill learners and enhance their career prospects. As part of this, colleges took part in a series of mini-challenges designed to raise standards and better prepare students for both higher grades and industry success.
Celebrating Success
We are delighted to announce that Newcastle College had the highest engagement with our benchmarking resources, with 224 learners participating in the Mindset Masterclasses and 221 learners engaging with the Productivity Skills activity. Abacus Training Group, Portland Training, and Southern Regional College also involved their learners with the resources.
The results reflect the dedication and hard work of Newcastle College in delivering outstanding opportunities for students. These colleges demonstrated exceptional engagement and achievement, using the WorldSkills UK benchmarking resources to enhance learner development and technical skills. Their commitment to student success is truly commendable!
A huge congratulations to all participating colleges! Your efforts in equipping learners with the skills they need to thrive in their careers are invaluable.
Looking Ahead
The activities and benchmarking undertaken during Colleges Week 2025 can be accessed on-demand throughout the year on our free learning platform, the Learning Lab, to help raise standards in technical and personal skills for higher grades, and prepare learners for industry and competitions.
