Pablo Lloyd has been honoured for his support in developing the skills of young people, working in partnership with government and business.
Mr Lloyd was recognised in the Queen’s Birthday Honours list for his outstanding commitment to technical and vocational skills. He sat on the WorldSkills UK Board for 12 years before stepping down as Deputy Chair in December 2018. During his time serving on the Board, he played a key role in developing WorldSkills UK’s core programmes, helping more young people go further, faster in their careers.
“We are absolutely delighted Pablo has been awarded an OBE for services to WorldSkills UK in the Queen’s Birthday Honours,” said Dr Neil Bentley, CEO of WorldSkills UK. “This recognises the outstanding leadership contribution Pablo has made to our organisation over many years, and we are very grateful for his commitment and ongoing support.”
Pablo has served on the boards of private and public sector organisations for 20 years, specialising in start-ups and transformations. He is currently CEO of Visionnaires, an organisation focused on supporting the future of enterprise and developing new entrepreneurs. Founded by Mr Lloyd, Visionnaires is designed to help new businesses and start-ups before and after they are created.
