We’re pleased to launch our new Digital Construction Competition, run in partnership with Autodesk.
The competition is an evolution of the former BIM Competition, and is a direct reaction to the recently released Exploring the Digital Skills Gap report. By changing the focus of the competition from modelling to how data is managed throughout the whole construction process, including how to design, plan, build and operate buildings, the competition will support the digital transformation of the built environment in the UK.
The competition is designed by industry experts such as Baker Hicks (Morgan Sindall Group) and will assess an individual’s knowledge, practical skills, and employability attributes against set criteria in a competitive timed environment. Taking part in our competition-based training programme is proven to enhance a person’s learning and development, building on the knowledge and skills they learn as part of their course and helping them to stand out when applying for job roles.
To support educators in preparing students and apprentices to take part in the Digital Construction Competition, Autodesk and New College Lanarkshire have published a series of free to access YouTube tutorials.
For educators teaching Revit as part of their Building Information Model Courses who would like to engage and build their students’ skills prior to the competition, Prodigy Learning is offering Autodesk Revit Certified User exam options for institutions.
Find out how built environment students and apprentices can benefit from the newly launched competition by joining our online webinar with Autodesk on 26 April at 5pm.
Registration for our National Competitions is open from 19 April – 14 May 2021.
