The Innovation Network is an exciting pilot initiative that launched in January 2021 which brings together an exclusive group of colleges and Independent Training Providers from across the UK to promote best practice, enabling them to work together using WorldSkills UK’s unique knowledge and tools to embed and mainstream excellence in teaching and learning.
The new members are:

The Innovation Network gives members access to a wide variety of different resources, including international insights, enabling members to work together using WorldSkills UK’s knowledge to embed and mainstream excellence. These benefits include:
- accessing WorldSkills UK’s unique resources and performance benchmarking insights which have been gathered through international skills competitions and best practice exchanges with WorldSkills UK international partners, to help raise quality and standards in teaching and learning
- understanding how to embed skills competitions practice in curricula to drive up teaching and learning standards
- the ability to access information and insights through WorldSkills UK’s international network of learning providers and UK leading employers, to help match education and training with employers’ changing demands for skills, and to meet business objectives and stimulate growth in the economy
- sharing resources and insights between peers, and supported peer-to-peer networking
- access to exclusive sector-based sessions and webinars
- opportunity to help create a community of good practice, including through an exclusive Innovation Network members’ area on the WorldSkills UK website launching in November 2021.
