We’re proud to announce Dr Neil Bentley-Gockmann has been honoured as part of the 2019 OUTstanding 30 LGBT+ Public Sector Executives List.
WorldSkills UK Chief Executive, Dr Neil Bentley-Gockmann, has been named as one of the UK’s top 30 LGBT+ Public Sector Executives. The list features 30 inspirational LGBT+ Senior Leaders from the Public and Third Sectors who are making a significant contribution to LGBT+ inclusion outside of their workplace.
Dr Bentley-Gockmann has worked to embed diversity and inclusion (D&I) throughout WorldSkills UK and our partner organisations. Spearheading an external review of our work to help develop a new inclusion strategy, he has been instrumental in making D&I the cornerstone of what we do.
Alongside this review, Dr Bentley-Gockmann also oversaw the introduction of the WorldSkills UK Diversity and Inclusion Heroes Awards. These Awards celebrate individuals and organisations who champion inclusion in the Further Education sector, helping all young people to thrive. Winners will be announced at WorldSkills UK LIVE on Friday 22 November.
Outside of his work with WorldSkills UK, Dr Bentley-Gockmann acts as a mentor, chaired a one-day annual conference on LGBT+ inclusion at work and was awarded an OBE in the 2019 Queen’s New Year’s Honours’ list for services to LGBT+ inclusion.
