Former WorldSkills UK Competitors have dominated this year’s RHS Chelsea Flower Show, which is taking place from 23 to 27 May.
Joseph Massie, who won Bronze in Floristry at WorldSkills Calgary 2009, unveiled his spectacular floral installation which was created to celebrate the 90th birthday of HM The Queen.
Competitors who have represented the UK in Landscape Gardening at international skills competitions enjoyed further successes when they were awarded an RHS Silver Gilt Medal. Will Gadd (Team UK, WorldSkills London 2011), Aaron Jamison (Team UK, EuroSkills Spa 2012), Matthew Bradley and Ewan Sewell (Team UK, WorldSkills Leipzig 2013) were awarded the Medal for building the Hartley Botanic Show Garden designed by Catherine Macdonald.
Louisa Cooper (Team UK, WorldSkills São Paulo 2015), who was competing for the first time at RHS Chelsea was awarded a Silver Medal in the RHS Young Florist of The Year category. Zoe Rowlinson (Team UK, EuroSkills Lille 2014) was awarded a Bronze in the same category.
