WorldSkills, the organisation responsible for running the biennial international skills competition, has officially recognised all UK Experts who will be participating in WorldSkills Abu Dhabi 2017.
The Experts have been working with Team UK over the last two years to develop them to the world class standard in their skill, ahead of the competition in the Middle East. Focusing on technical skills development, collectively the members of Team UK have completed over 71,000 hours of training with their Experts.
To officially participate in the international Competition, all trainers from the 70 member countries and regions of WorldSkills must first complete its ‘Access Programme’ which prepares them to be able to carry out their role as a WorldSkills Expert during the pressurised environment of the competition. The programme also helps all participants understand the wider work of WorldSkills which is the collective voice for skills excellence and development in vocational, technological and service oriented careers around the globe.
Dr Neil Bentley, Chief Executive, WorldSkills UK said: “Congratulations to all of our Experts who have successfully been accredited by WorldSkills International. They all play a crucial role in supporting the sustainability, management and design of a high quality skills training programme that drives up standards to the highest level to help boost productivity and competitiveness.”
