The shortlist for the new WorldSkills Unsung Hero category at the Tes FE Awards has been announced.
Taking place on Friday 20 March at the Grosvenor House Hotel, the prestigious Tes FE Awards honour the very best in the FE sector.
The WorldSkills Unsung Hero Award recognises the dedicated professionals who go the extra mile to support the talented competitors who take part our regional, national and international skills Competitions.
The shortlist for the WorldSkills Unsung Hero award:
Michael Swan – Dundee and Angus College
Steve Williams – Gower College Swansea
Manufacturing Engineering Team – Grimsby Institute of Further and Higher Education
Mike Taylor – Grŵp Llandrillo Menai
Colin Galley – New College Durham
Claire Winnall – Reds Hair Company
Pete Walters – Stoke on Trent College
Joan Scott – Trafford College Group
Education secretary Gavin Williamson said: “Congratulations to all of those who have made the shortlist for the Tes FE Awards. The awards are a great opportunity to celebrate and recognise the brilliant work being carried out every day around the country across the sector.
