This module looks at the characteristics of air braking systems, including the advantages, function and construction of air brakes, and focuses on the service brake, parking brake and emergency brake. You will then look at air compressors and their function, location, components and design. You will also explore disc brakes and their operation, location and operation.
The module takes around 90 minutes to complete. You will be continually tested as you work your way through with a series of quizzes and other activities. Once you have completed all sections successfully, you will be awarded a downloadable WorldSkills UK certificate.
