Kane competed in the WorldSkills UK Commercial Make-Up Competition and has since started his own make-up business.
We caught up with Kane to find out how Competitions helped him develop the skills and confidence to kick-start his career.
Kane from Scotland competed at the national competitions in 2018 in media makeup and was highly recommended. WorldSkills UK has inspired Kane to practice more on his work to be the best he can be. Kane’s college has seen a big change in his confidence after competing at WorldSkills UK.
Competing at WorldSkills UK has pushed Kane to be more focused at completing his HNC and to do more editorial work. This has also enabled Kane to start his own business and grow his clientele and belief in himself.
It makes us proud to see that Kane has gone from strength to strength – it’s like watching one of your own children bloom, it’s absolutely amazing.
