Students and apprentices from all over the UK are being invited to put their skills to the test and sign up with WorldSkills UK to prove they have what it takes to be named the best in their skill.

Participating in WorldSkills UK Competitions is proven to help young people go further, faster in their careers. Designed to strict industry standards and run in over 50 different skill areas, over 95% of past entrants believed that taking part in the competitions, at any level, improved their technical and employability skills.

Employers can also use the Apprenticeship Levy to fund their apprentices’ involvement.  Participation in the Competitions can be used as part of the 20% off the job training requirement for apprentices.

Those students and apprentices who are successful in the National Qualifiers, the first stage of the WorldSkills UK Competitions, will be invited to take part in the National Finals which will be held at The Skills Show from 15 – 17 November at the NEC, Birmingham.

Celebrating the best of UK talent, WorldSkills UK will also be looking to identify age and skill-eligible students and apprentices to join its training programme to compete at WorldSkills, the world’s largest international skills competition known as the ‘Skills Olympics’ in 2021.
